Savannah began their photographic journey at the age of seven when they were given a Kodak 110. At eight Savannah began flying airlines as an unaccompanied minor so their parents could focus on their brother’s illness. Savannah won numerous awards as a youth artist. Photography took on the role of a coping tool throughout Savannah’s experiences with mental health and housing instability. Their grandfather’s passion for photography fed theirs. Savannah would eventually enroll at New England School of Photography. They have been published in street papers, zines, and magazines under the byline Savannah Jacobson since 1994. They have shown work in galleries and sold pieces into private collections. Savannah is available for corporate & non-profit commissions. They are not affiliated with Columbia Journalism Review.
